The safety practices our team follows is the foundation of our continued success as a leading construction and maintenance provider in the pulp and paper mill industry. Each year, Texas Mutual Insurance Company utilizes the Work Safe, Texas Award Program to recognize policyholders whose commitment to employee safety sets them apart. Our company was one of 200 businesses chosen out of 72,000 policyholders to be awarded in 2017 and now again in 2019. The Platinum Safety Award is given because we provide the resources necessary to protect our employees from workplace hazards reflected by our outstanding safety record. Safety is definitely one of Top Deck’s core values in our organization, and we are very honored to have earned this recognition for our hard work.
Safety is A Top Priority
Top Deck’s job sites start each day with a safety briefing discussing the previous and possible hazards employees may encounter during the course of their day and how those should be mitigated. This is used as a reminder for established employees and a teaching tool for new hires. We have new hire safety training and Top Deck Policies and Procedures training during our onboarding process.
